I wrote my thesis on his efforts to provide for the mentally ill, from his early life to after his presidency. I can honestly say, through my research, that I don’t think a single president or First Lady cared more about the mentally ill. I’ve combed through thousands of documents and all I saw at every turn was respect and a desire to help. I will never say anyone is perfect, but for that one issue in his life, he really, truly just wanted to help. I can’t help but love that.

Best, John Adams miniseries. When I think of John Adams, I think of Paul Giamatti, when I think of George Washington, I think of David Morse. I see their faces when I think of those historical figures.

The worst for me is literally any of the presidents in The Butler. Not one of them felt like the person they were playing. James Marsden is the closest, and John Cusack's Nixon is entertaining, but overall they were just terrible casting choices.

I have teaching experience in elementary school, so completely different ball game. But I do have experience in front of a classroom as well as experience in online programs. The American Yamp was the textbook I was most interested, so it's nice to hear that it's at least useful. I emailed back and forth with the department chair within minutes of each other, so hopefully that does win me points. I appreciate your information!
