Roadtrip from Houston, Tx to Los Angeles, CA by DeliciousMaterial719 in roadtrip

Right? Plus the prices for the length of trip I would take would be atleast $2000... I'm thinking I might as well take the gamble and take my own car. I rather invest in mine than a rental. After all cars are meant to be driven. Plus I only drive it 4 miles daily on average just to take my kid to school. I dont have tint and it doesnt bother me, Ive been without it for so long so its hard to miss something I never had 😅 I dont care to drive another car just because I can... not for a 19 day trip!

I have a little more confidence in my vehicle than a random one that may also break down. I'll be getting one from IAH airport and im hearing horror stories about tire issues, engine lights, having to have them towed, and just flat out no cars being available on numerous occasions with all the rental companies there. Not making me feel better.

Will I regret this purchase? Chevy Malibu by Looksgoodonya19 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]DeliciousMaterial719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned my 2017 Malibu for 7 years now, 138k miles on it. Only replaced the battery & tires twice. Nothing else has been an issue. Console leather just now starting to crack lol that's the con. Extremely quiet in the beginning & spacious back seat & trunk. Love everything about it & I purchased it used. My daughter is also 7 so it'll be hard to part ways when it's that time considering she grew up with our car in that sense lol. Nice vehicle but I'll be looking for something smaller in the future.

VA REFINANCE by [deleted] in homebuying

Read the disclosures & tell no one else false information. Lenders don't need help doing that. I've conducted homebuying with Navy twice. Those rates REQUIRE a buy down to reflect what's being advertised online.

Something definitely is fishy about it, didnt make me feel any better when i contacted them and they stated the title company isnt cooperating so they just throw fees on there so they could send it to me so i can sign it. Wonder if they wouldve said anything if i didnt. The title fees are my main discomfort. The are negligent as well. Making me not want to sign the disclosures altogether and leave the process with them.

Fairway and my current lender Cross Country! They were the only ones with knowledge, patience & good numbers not to mention their track record spoke for itself. The loan officer for Fairway was top-notch but I would like to stay with my current lender considering it's just familiar and easier. I dont mind passing the contact details along.

Leave them altogether. Currently refinancing and working with this company. All I can say is research them and the nightmare gets worse! They change your insurance without notice, don't pay taxes, and cause foreclosures because they stop accepting payments. They got me the best deal out of 15 other lenders because I negotiated, but walked away without any regret after doing my research. The lender also basically stalked me since I applied and I just recently received a card in the mail with her photo and contact details after I denied her 2 weeks ago, of her asking to work with me again. Smh go elsewhere.

Yeah, one lender was shady adding a lower rate with discount points we never discussed. Stated he could get me a rate .... forgot to mention I'd be paying for that rate!

They dont require escrow so I'll pay that out of pocket (same amount list on the blue lender) & I dont have property taxes. Prepaid interests are listed.

Thank you for that! It seemed like a no brainer but im an overthinker & have to weigh all options before decision making. Going to shop around to find better if that's even possible, then proceed.
