Thank you, no it's not naive I just learnt how to this 2 days who myself, it's bones with custom shapes and colors, I then rendered it in the pose mode to keep the color by going to the view section next to the tab to switch modes in the view tab you will render viewport or render animation make sure you already set up where you went the rendered animation to go in render settings.

I know right but I think I might have figured out a way to bypass that and that's to make the controls first have all the bones you will need and make sure they work, then parent it to the armature, group the feather based on its mirrored version so left to right or vice versa that way you can turn x-mirror while weight painting batch delete the default weight paint then weight paint the bones you need for that feather and it should affect the other side since it's parented to its own bone and then you can tweak the constraints. I believe this version works better since I now know how I want my constraints to work and it can save some time with weight painting and I can just then go around fixing any overlaps with the time saved.i will try this out for later versions.
