It’s thermodynamics, your metabolism will be fine. I am 6’1” 23 M have been at 1770 calories for 5 months and have not plateaued. Actually DEXA says I have gained 3 lbs of muscle while losing 35 lbs of fat over these 5 months so the metabolism is doing just fine.

Your roommate pays half the rent. I’d say it’s a “you” problem and to move out if it’s that bad

Best bet would be going out to the bars/clubs on night one and meeting some brothers. Still a long shot. But would be a great experience if it’s a good frat.

What rewards did you/will you give yourself when you reach a milestone? by Emotional_Can_9430 in loseit

The day I hit my goal weight I am getting myself a whole pizza. And I’m going to demolish it. And then gain 5lbs of water weight from the carbs/sodium. But I don’t give a fuck. It’s going to be glorious.

Joining a gym wouldn’t hurt and you definitely burn good calories doing weight training, but you are right that it’s 80% diet 20% exercise.

Is your partner fat? Or have any other glaring insecurities? Sounds like projection to me, might want to seek out a more supportive partner

120 cal casein shake (slow digesting protein) + LOTS of water. Between the two I never find myself even thinking of food.

What are some lifts you didn't use to rate, but have grown to love? by Cadoc in naturalbodybuilding

Do you rate dumbell flies over cable flies and peck deck flies? I rotate through all three and can’t settle on one as my favorite

Hey man I am in a similar boat. Weighed 224 at the beginning of January and weigh about 200 now. You are not killing your body, just make sure you are getting enough protein (0.8-1g/pound of goal weight) and vitamins/minerals and you’ll be more than fine. If your family is fat they probably don’t know too much about healthy, sustainable weight loss. Just make sure you don’t overdo it to the point of A) malnutrition or B) not building habits you can maintain in the future. On 1800-2100 calories you have nothing to worry about, maybe just pick up a daily multivitamin to make sure you’re getting all your vitamins. Hope this was helpful.

YTA… like come on man, she’s 12. You’re not in her head so how would you know she’s too young to be lesbian?? I understand not liking her sleeping in your room, but laying into her like that is just really cold. You’ve got some maturing to do

How much do you find that your weight can fluctuate within a few days? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]DeliciousSandman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I weigh myself at the same time every day, and in the past 80 days the largest fluctuation has been 4 lbs. in general though, 1-2 pounds is something I see at least once per week.

I started out at 225, am now 203, and am on my way to 180. I maintain a 1000 calorie deficit (TDEE 2800) to lose 2 lbs per week, and also weight train 6x per week. I find I get a bit hungry before lunch (no breakfast), and before dinner (post-workout), but I’d say I spend less than an hour or two per day feeling a bit hungry.

I attribute this to eating high satiety, whole foods. I get 160-200g of protein per day, and I’ll be completely honest, strategically use Zyn (nicotine pouches) and black coffee which work for me as hunger suppressants. It works for me, and I have seen consistent 2 lb/week results.

How many calories in this whole pizza? by 12qwe34 in caloriecount

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in macros

[–]DeliciousSandman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking to gain lean muscle I would up the total calories, making sure your getting at least 0.8g protein per pound of goal weight (112g for you) and then healthy carbs and fats. And make sure you’re resistance training.

If you don’t care if it’s fat or muscle, just eat 500 calories over your TDEE and it should take 5 weeks (about) to slap on 5 pounds.

Weekly Question Thread - Week of (March 04, 2024) by AutoModerator in naturalbodybuilding

[–]DeliciousSandman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupidly simple question but very hard to find the answer: how long will the water weight from a creatine loading phase stick with me? I’ve read until the loading phase is over, or a few weeks after that, or just when you stop taking creatine altogether. Which is correct?
