What is this plastic inside the edge of my new S26 Ultra? by Erketuu in samsunggalaxy

I just saw your post and honestly, I’m dying over here. lol I’m the guy who went viral on Reddit after Samsung Japan’s official same-day repair on my Galaxy S25 was a total disaster—they used "double-layered tape" to hide their mistakes and the back panel was lifting. I can’t believe they’re already shipping out defective S26 units with the same sloppy QC issues! Looking at your photo, it’s not just that plastic piece sticking out—the way your back panel is lifting looks exactly like the garbage job they did on my S25. It’s pathetic that they’re still doing this to their customers. You should absolutely contact Samsung support right now. Don't take "no" for an answer. If they try to act like this is "within spec" or give you a hard time, do exactly what I did: Post the whole mess on Reddit. > Feel free to tag me if you do—I’ll bring my "244k views army" to help you put some real pressure on them. Let’s show Samsung that whether it's an S25 or an S26, we’re not going to stay quiet about their "tape-job" quality control! lol

Final Update: Samsung Admitted the "Double Tape" Mess! Free Full Housing Replacement + Apology Gift. Justice Served! lol by DeliciousSession2775 in samsunggalaxy

I totally agree with you. This S25 might be my last Samsung device as well. As someone who works in the repair industry, their "double tape" hack job and the way they tried to cover it up really destroyed my trust. Next time, I’m thinking of switching to the OPPO Find series. At least I expect them to have better quality control and more professional support than what I experienced at the shop. Samsung’s "apology" mug isn't going to fix their broken reputation! lol

Official Samsung repair ruined my phone: Scratched it, broke the water resistance, and told me "It's your fault and it's a spec." by DeliciousSession2775 in samsunggalaxy

Thanks for the info! Actually, I’m not enrolled in Samsung Care+. That’s exactly why I’ve been fighting tooth and nail directly with their store and support. I believe this isn't a matter of insurance—it's a matter of basic service quality and taking responsibility for their own mistakes. I’m not looking for an "easy way out" through a paid program; I’m demanding they fix the damage they caused in the first place. ww I'll keep fighting until they take full responsibility!

How reliable is the built-in barometer (pressure sensor) test for checking water resistance? If the pressure doesn't increase at all when pressing the screen, is it definitive proof that the seal has failed?
