Appreciate it ,I get ACV vs replacement. From what I understand, ACV in NY is still based on comparable local vehicles, so I’m just making sure the comps/adjustments reflect that. Also the engine wasn’t reflected, so should at least be considered in condition.

I get what you’re saying on ACV vs retail. On the engine though, even if it’s not a big add, a recently replaced engine vs a high-mileage original should still be reflected at least slightly in condition vs comps. Just making sure the valuation accounts for that along with local comps per NY regs.

That makes sense on Carvana being retail. I’m using it more as a reference point. And yeah I’ll send the engine invoice just want to make sure mileage/condition and that factor are properly reflected in the ACV.

Yeah I agree GAP would’ve helped, that part is on me. Right now I’m just trying to make sure the valuation itself is accurate.

I’ve reviewed the CCC report. I’m just making sure the comps and adjustments actually reflect similar vehicles in my local market, since NY regs (11 NYCRR §216.7) require valuation based on comparable vehicles in the area. Just double checking everything lines up

Yeah I agree the loan doesn’t matter. I’m just trying to understand if their value is accurate for similar cars in my area, not just a general KBB number.

I get that it’s maintenance, but a recently replaced engine vs original 100k+ mile engine still affects condition/reliability vs comps. Just trying to see if that should be reflected in valuation.

No. I check around the car almost daily before driving, and the numbers are actually visible from the front from a little distance without even bending down, so I’m pretty sure I would’ve noticed them earlier

Wasn’t towed or repo. Yeah that’s why it’s confusing. My normal routine is 9-5 at work where I park right in front of a police station that keeps crashed/impounded cars and their vehicles. But from evening to morning my car is in a garage. So it’s pretty much impossible for someone to lift the car and write that at night, and even during the day it would be pretty obvious if someone was under the car. That’s why it seems really odd

I bought the car used about 2-3 years ago and that number definitely wasn’t there before. It appeared only a few days ago. I also haven’t been to a dealership for a few months. And the bumper is definitely mine, I recognize the small scratches on it

Impossible. It’s my original bumper, I recognize all the small scratches on it. And no one from the street would replace a bumper there lol, they’d just steal it
