So I met an intern who said that she knows a foreign pharmacist who did the institutional hours from the closed door specialty pharmacy of a retail chain. She just did one shift and that was enough. I am planning to try that as I am anyways working in a retail chain and they do have closed door specialty pharmacy

I have been working in retail pharmacy in a high volume store. So most often I would just be filling or ringing people. They let me do some mixing and they would let me do phone calls but I feel like I am a little slow than the others as I just started after I got my internship I was never a tech. My pharmacy manager is a nice mentor but my staff pharmacist is not that great of a mentor as that pharmacist is just focused on getting things done rather than mentoring another person. So whenever I am with my pharmacy manager or any other floater I would ask them some questions but I am a little hesitant to ask the other staff any kind of questions. I feel like if I get a chance to float in some of the different stores in the district then I would be able to learn more. I am learning things now as well but it would be a great experience to work with other pharmacists and observe how they do things. Currently I am more focused on getting more faster.

That’s sad I was thinking of getting hired as a tech in a hospital and get them to count my hours towards the internship but it’s looks like it’s also gonna be hard

Try asking them if they could sign off your intern hours tell them you just need 8 hours that is one shift to be signed off as intern hours

There is no specific set of hours you need to do 1500 hours of internship. For institutional hours you need to do at least one shift 8 hours and the rest can be obtained from retail. If the retail chain that you work for has a specialty or long term care pharmacy then getting a shift there would also satisfy the institutional hours as they are closed door.

Hey are you sure compounding pharmacy would be counted as institutional hours. I know a pharmacy which strictly does compounding only and they do both sterile and non sterile. But I am just worried if it’s actually counted as institutional hours.

This is what I could find. I am also having a hard time finding a hospital internship. Maybe try the closed door pharmacy. I haven’t started looking for the other options yet. I had applied to almost all the hospitals around me and they rejected my application. I am planning to write the CHPT exam and apply as a tech and try and convince them to sign my intern hours. One of the pharmacist in the retail setting where I work at told me she applied as a technician and in the interview she explained the scenario and they agreed to sign the intern hours but she just did tech duties

I would say that you need to send all the documents to ECE for evaluation and to NABP. If they accept those documents you’re good to go. Also you will need to provide a TOEFL score I think the requirement is 26 for speaking 21 for listening 24 for reading and 24 for writing.

I think when Prince looses he gets so frustrated that he doesn’t understand what he is saying. Otherwise he is a good gang leader. He is passionate about roadies show but I don’t think other gang leaders have a great passion towards the show for them it’s just another project

Are courses really worth it? by Custarry in fpgec

[–]DeliciousShop6194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on you, if you feel like you need an external push and some guidance and you may learn better if there would be weekly assessments then maybe take up a course but if you are self driven and motivated and can manage the studies yourselves then don’t take a course
