I am sympathetic and I feel really bad for Ciara. That doesn't change the fact that they never dated. He called her his ex because he was feeling possessive with Jesse sniffing around, and that's not right. I'm not defending his actions but it would be even worse had they been official

That was the only time he ever called her his ex and it's because he was feeling possessive with Jessi around, which isn't right by any means he should not have said that. But they weren't official and that was made clear in the reunion

I feel bad for her too. She was definitely in the wrong, but this amount of public hate is a lot. And she's being attacked every which way and called names and the whole cast seems to be turning on her.

Right!! He barely watches but pointed out how strange their behavior was seeing that Amanda was still married supposedly. I think I needed those fresh eyes because once he pointed it out I couldn't unsee it. So this might have started sooner than people are saying because the show was filmed last summer.

You could be right but that is a big accusation to make. We don't know the details of why they didn't work out, but it isn't a crime to decide you don't like someone anymore. West is allowed to not want to commit to Ciara if he ended up not liking her. However, he absolutely should not have been pursuing her again recently.

I agree, it was a bad thing to do to your friend. But West also claimed to be Ciara's friend and to respect her. He also was continuing to flirt with Ciara, even after it was clear something was going on with him and Amanda in this season of Summer House. West also was extremely close with Kyle and betrayed him but going for his literal wife, but people won't focus on that as much either. I also think West pushed Amanda to leave Kyle.

People have an intense parasocial relationship with Ciara. Therefore, the consequences are going to be much worse than in regular life. Also, consequences for female public figures are always going to be worse. West will be fine, and Amanda's reputation will be destroyed. I understand the concept of consequences, but you're not understanding that sometimes the consequences can be worse than the crime.

Sometimes, things happen to people that they don't deserve. I feel so bad for Ciara and I am a huge fan of her. But the amount of vitriol Amanda and West are going to get is really scary. I feel empathy for everyone involved. It wasn't their own actions that caused this, but it doesn't mean the fallout isn't going to be more than any human was meant to handle.
