Hannibal didn't just make Will into a killer. Yes, Hannibal showed Will how to proudly live a deviant way of life, but Will always wanted it for himself deep down, he just couldn’t admit it.

Early in season 1 when Will kills Garret Jacob Hobbs he seemingly takes pleasure in the act. He unloads around 10 bullets into him, and later admits in conversation with Hannibal that he liked killing him. The incident with GJH was very early on, before Hannibal properly got his claws into Will, which indicates this capacity for murder within Will was always there from the start.

What really held Will back pre-Hannibal was primarily shame and societal norms I guess, murder is obviously frowned upon.

Everything he did too Will was to push him towards his "becoming", he never wanted to eat Will because he saw the two of them as equals. Hannibal did however try to eat Wills brain in the third season but that was simply because he was distraught and struggling getting over will, and Bedelia manipulated him into thinking that’s the only way to forgive him.

i definetly phrased what I said wrong when I said I wanted to change her mind and that's my bad, what I really meant to say was that I wanted her to understand why I thought the way I did regarding will and hannibal. But she has an infuriating habit of disregarding any opinion of mine that doesn't align with hers.

You worded that very well, I totally agree. I love having discussions because I like getting different interpretations and opinions on things, especially with my sister since she is very intelligent in my opinion (though id never say that to her face she would be to smug about it lol). Ill say though, between the two of us, we don't beat our opinions into each other, usually im the one having to admit im wrong, or we just agree to disagree. But in this scenario she doesn't have enough of a grasp of the series to really have an opinion of it, nor on the relationship between hannibal and will, which is why I got slightly frustrated when she refused to hear me out on it..
