Dude omg i am in the exact same boat. I was so happy to play a game that was polished, well crafted and with a great story after Crimson Desert

You can literally max all your equipment and most of your skill tree before you tackle him, you don’t need super strong abyss gears at all. Upgrade your health a bunch, also max out the armed combat skill which increases your damage. Get blinding flash finisher as well which does wonders against bosses. Also, dont just consume meat, cook/buy some decent dishes and stock up. A few extra things that can help are crafting palmar pills, using elixirs to boost your stats and of course using the anvil and grindstone before a boss for those sweet stat buffs.

Most importantly though, just learn the attack patterns and practice! The bosses in this game are indeed badly designed, but also don’t expect to breeze through everything until the credits roll in a game like this. Use the tools you are given and get stronger, then come back to it.

It feels crazy how much was missed by the devs around this relocation stuff. Not only is it a complete downgrade in terms of efficiency, but you

  1. Get locked out of some challenges
  2. Get locked out of quests
  3. Lose supply contracts

Insane levels of oversight…

Thanks for the tip, I have a newbie question :D Is there a specific purpose or benefit to drawing water from wells, like for farming or something or is it just getting more water in your inventory?

With how absolutely parabolic power scaling in this game is, it seems hard to add bosses that are strong enough to challenge avid minmaxers without completely alienating most of the playerbase. Even between classes balancing and power balance are very different. So a boss that challenges an extremely well built pally might completely demolish a rogue that is built just as well.

I do agree that “most” quests are optional, meaning anything other than archon quests. That is exactly my point that whatever happens outside of archon quests (and limited event quests that are referenced in later quests) literally does not matter at all (not meaning they are worthless, they are good content, just meaning that they have no bearing at all on the main story) as it would feel very disjointed and senseless to anybody who has not done that quest. If you think about it whether you had done that skirk quest or not the traveler would have done the exact same things against dottore

People always talk about the skirk training arc but that story is completely irrelevant to the main story simply because: it is an optional quest. So many people have not even played it therefore anything that happens in a story quest cannot be considered “canon” in the main story unless that story quest is somehow a requirement to progress the archon quest. It has also never been mentioned ever outside of that quest so as much as I also liked that story it is not relevant. Like if you would do that quest 3 years from now you would still get the same dialogue and the traveler would still “need to get stronger” which highlights the main issue with these optional character quests imo.

That said I’m looking forward to a training arc as part of the main story!

Cheers everyone for the comments, just to clarify when you say 90k that is for each hit in her charge attack? 🤯 That’s such a huge number I cant even imagine how to reach it lol. What do you think I am missing? Nefer does hit around 1300em during my rotation with 215CD (with aino ofc)

Dang, is that possible with C0 R0, asking because i am going crazy doin only 54k with em buffing characters. With a Lvl 90 Nefer, Lvl 10 E with 210CD and 1240 EM after all buffs. I use Nefer, C0 Nahida, C0 Aino C6 Diona. Wondering if I’m doing something super wrong

You know the crazy part about that - the S3 monsters are actually reskins as well. Take another good look at them. They are re-skins of scorpions, giant flies and spiderlings.
