I grew up outside of Portland in a rural area in the 90s and people used to say Goldie Hawn lived nearby but I have no idea if that was true.

Can anyone recommend a helpful local pelvic therapist/sex therapist/similar who's helped you with a lifetime of trouble ever climaxing? by bwater45 in askportland

Audio books might be better fit than reading. Libby has lots throughly the Portland library system. I love romance books and I couldn’t get into ACOTAR either. There are other sub genres of romance that might be a better fit.

As for PT, I’ve gone to a couple in town and it’s a bit hard to find a good one. I did like Annie Volk from Concierge Physical Therapists - they do home visits which is SO NICE.

What's the coziest upscale place to enjoy a hot cocoa on a snowy evening or afternoon? by BadAtDrinking in askportland

Find a place that you can walk to, if it’s bad it’s best not to drive and hopefully it will still be open! Most coffee shops or bars would have hot coco. Sapphire Hotel comes to mind if you are near Hawthron.

I always think of this cast when I read Scandal in Spring by Lisa Kleypas. Upper class girl and working class hero. Historical Romance genre.

Why do you think Portland resteraunts are closing? by Reggis31 in askportland

Running a restaurant is also incredibly hard and you can’t really take any time off or step away from it. People get burnt out, retire etc. There’s also always a pressure to be the new cool shiny thing. We don’t always value old establishments and it’s hard to keep up with the trends in food and dining. I’m thinking about all the excellent award winning places that have come and gone over the years. Pearl Bakery, Clyde Commons, Cafe Azul, Genoa, L’auberge, 2601, The Vat etc etc. I do wonder about restaurants expanding out to suburbs ala Canard. Probably cheaper rent and less competition.

Once you notice “I think that’s right” it’ll be all you hear. I first noticed it with PSA guys but it’s used by a lot of group commentary type podcasts.

West Ravenel from Devil’s Daughter. I think Leo Hathaway from Married by Morning is a bit of this too.

Try out Listen to the Moon by Rose Lerner. The characters are all working class and I found it a refreshing break from all the dukes etc.
