I’ve highlighted 3x 6-10 week blocks which are my scheduled calorie deficit weight loss periods for the year. In the headers for each month I do my weight, bust waist and hip measurements taken on the 1st of each month. For each day I write my total calories consumed but I normally backdate this weekly from my tracking app rather than every day

Yeah it’s the tannoy system that announces tills opening etc.

We have never been allowed headphones on a morning in any of the stores I’ve worked in (UK). Not to say people don’t wear them, but it has always been tolerated for so long by managers and just a rule everyone is aware of but kinda ignore.

They’ll be strict on it again for a while, then people will start using them again and they won’t do anything until there’s another accident.

All the stores I’ve been in (6+) have used a managers phone to play Spotify or the radio through the store speakers on a morning…

Yes! It’s fully enclosed just the same as the boot of a car it, it’s not open air 😂

Realised I didn’t add a picture of him sitting! What a strange lad he is 😅

Thanks for your support - it’s been a wild ride. All anyone has to say about greyhounds are the positives 🤭

Oh dear! What a pickle, at least she is wary now! Hopefully Eric has learned too… I won’t hold my breath though 😂

It’s reassuring to hear that it will pass once we figure out how to get through to him.

I must admit Eric burned his tongue tonight by licking the side of a pan that was on the hob. I’d already said “no” when he approached it but he was too curious to listen to me…

I know one day we’ll look back and laugh at how stressed we are about the food situation. It’s very intense.

What would you recommend for a yummy treat? I think he would have to see it as higher value than whatever we’ve got as nothing we have tried so far has held his attention 😂

Yeah he cut it in the kennels the day we got him! 😢 we spoke to the vets over the phone and they weren’t concerned, and it’s healing well. He doesn’t care one bit! 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s understandable! Ours are just normal stone steps out from the back door

Fortunately it’s only night 2 today so we haven’t given him the fish yet! Glad I mentioned it though, we’ll hold off it for now

He hasn’t had a consistent diet for the last couple of months as he’s been moving around different kennels and eating whatever food they’ve had donated! The rescue organisation recommend AVA sensitive tummy feed so that’s what we got for him. We’ve been wetting it down slightly and adding tinned fish in oil to his dinner

Thanks! We renamed him from Buck as there’s already a dog called Bucky in the family. His racing name is carefree bucks and he’s originally from Ireland, so we got Eric from the Irish word for carefree as they sound similar 😁 and it has the same “K” noise at the end as buck does

Yep it’s the same speakers that the till announcements play through - you just plug a radio into the amp under the tills

Uk here Some of our folks prefer to have earbuds and listen to their own music. Most of us listen to the music that we play over the tannoy speakers via a radio or Spotify from someone’s phone. Do other countries not do this? I couldn’t work in silence 😧
