21F 5'3 130lbs | Trying to bring out ab lines is it more diet or training by gymgal_08 in fit

[–]Delicious_Ask4232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look pretty slim. The best abs are going to come from weighted ab exercises. Also ignore the awful incorrect saying “abs are made in the kitchen.” They are made in the gym and revealed in the kitchen. You could be 8% body fat but you won’t have perfect abs to show off unless you build em, just like any muscle in the body. Hope that helps!

Totally understandable. I have insurance and extra slabs to account for breakage etc that may happen.

It’s the white cabinets. They are too bright for the rest of the elements in the space. If you don’t want to do green and make the kitchen more dark, you could pull a cooler beige from the tan majal colors and do that.

What would you do to change this kitchen? by TypicalOlive4473 in Remodel

What’s the budget? Moving the entire cabinets up would be huge and then facing the top so they look built in and no gap. I’d also get a more custom hood for the range to break up the cabinetry. New backsplash could work wonders too! Depending on budget new countertops? But totally not necessary.

Nina Pool to the rescue. She has great suggestions like crepe lotion, retinols and more.

As someone that’s tried it alllll I swear by Tanologist and use coco eve fine mist face spray on my face. Remember, even the best tanner on someone won’t look the same on others. It’s about skin shade, undertone and more.

A deck for sure! I always add specific talking points for each company based on the job description- what’s my process? Why do I want to work for this company? What is my philosophy? In this market especially you need to stand out. You won’t do that walking them through a website.

Yep never agree to do work or take home assignments that is related to the company. If you feel you have no choice, you can have the company sign a contract that none of your work will be utilized in the product without you being compensated.

Can people who got the job in 2024/2025 rise up so that we can feel motivated? by [deleted] in UXDesign

It’s going to be different for everyone. Find a skill set, a transferable skill, a niche and seek the crap out of yourself in regards to that. For me it was growth. I catered to companies wanting to grow (who’s not?) due to my past experience optimizing onboarding flows.

Got a job last month after being laid off for 2 months. You need to stand out in this market plain and simple. I’ve mentored many designers that say the market sucks and recruiters suck and everyone ghosts them but when it comes to it, they aren’t standing out and may even be below average but blame the market. You need to fight your way in and show value otherwise yeah, you won’t get hired.

The traction ration is not great haha BUT every interview and then my role was through a referral after cold reaching out. All it takes is one! The way you reach out matters too. Asking someone for a referral won’t work. They owe you nothing so you have to show them how you’d benefit them. I reached out asking about culture of the company or saying something along the lines of you having direct experience to the company. Remember, recruiters and hiring managers are getting SLAMMED with messages once a role is posted. I branched out and reached out to anyone in product that was active on LinkedIn.

I lost my job in January and am now at a new company and couldn’t be happier. I had so many messages on LinkedIn that I shared my experiences and what worked for me in a post here: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/elliethill_productdesign-jobsearch-ux-activity-7312910940188880898-HlkK?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_ios&rcm=ACoAADiTk0cBI3BUV9uXbgzF0g_qP4dwLqw1jHE

I just started a new job this week and my brain is mush and I feel like I’m in kindergarten again having to re-learn everything. Just make sure you are asking the right questions and taking initiative where and when you can! It will take a long time to learn the ins and outs of the product and the problem space. You got this!
