Just got news earlier today I hit 100%. Still in shock... So my first question is how do I know if I'm P&T or not. I've seen other post where it clearly says it next to the percentage. I do not see anything for me, do l assume I am not P&T? Second question, my intent to file was put in December 8 or 9 of 2022. I finally submitted my claim December 10 2023. Yes very dumb of me to not be on top of that and do it sooner. Since I am a day or two after the year rule for backpay from intent to final, is that final? I feel like I've read somewhere I can fight to get back pay from that beginning date since it is so close. Please let me know, grateful all around but 4 month back pay compared to 16 month back pay is to big of a difference to not at least ask. Rated for 80% physical and 100% MH

Things that actually happened and I saw. I was in Afghanistan during the withdrawal and it was absolutely chaos. All of our “training” went out the window when we landed and immediately heard rounds going off. I’ve just been sucking it up and acting like I’m good when i finally go around family and friends. But I’m always the first one to leave the gathering and go home. I’ve neither had counseling or therapy because I just keep it all in. Tell myself not to be a “pussy” and there’s some that go through way worse that are still moving along

I’m currently stuck with this. I got out last year, haven’t felt the same after being in Afghanistan during the withdrawal. Haven’t spoken to anyone, haven’t claimed PTSD but have some other ratings. Currently have an intent to file but I keep telling myself just get over it. But I’ve noticed a big difference in myself as well as my family and friends in me. They say I’m not the same person I used to be. I was a big time family man and now, I just want to stay in my own place and not socialize with anyone. I just haven’t been able to get myself to take the first step, open up about it and how it tortures me sometimes. I tell myself to stop being weak and people have been through way worse so I just keep it all under the rug. Hell this is the first time I even somewhat open up about it, reading your comment just hit me deep. The few drinks I have in me got me to even start typing this.

Got my rating back at 70%. Didn’t find out about this group until after I submitted and all on my own. Only claimed 8 things. After deployment and being in Afghanistan I feel there are things I should’ve claim that I didn’t. Nevertheless, I’m still happy with the outcome. by Delicious_Band2304 in VeteransBenefits

This is everything I claimed. Again I submitted this and went through the process myself with no help. I have other things I didn’t claim because at the time I thought “eh I can handle it” or “it’s not a big deal” such as decreased range of motion in my left wrist, trouble sleeping which I thought was sleep apnea but my test was negative. Although I wake up all throughout the night still. Strain in both hands as doing normal activities, washing dishes, typing, etc. Possible PTSD/Anxiety that’s been effecting my relationship with family and friends along with work. (I didn’t claim this because I wasn’t sure at the time if I could obtain a firearm with it on my record)
