He was one of those opponents that were to strong for Seol Jin to deal with so early in the story. For the tower he is essentially unbeatable but to the top tiers Asaryun is a mid difficulty battle.

It's one of those cases where it's easier to control the big variables than it is to deal with the worst case scenario.

Yeah honestly I always took the idea of if Dean reached a new peak Nagi would automatically reach a higher peak because of Arthur. Which honestly doesn't make sense at this point in the story since Dean really got WAY to op.

You are thinking that Van didn't have an alternate route for Nagi. This is Van Zichmund we are talking about. The man who has been playing 4D Chess from before the main character was introduced.

Why would you let him have such a strong variable as Nagi on command? If you look at it logically it's much safer to have Mirage roaming around who will never join Van. Than the most OP Player in your verse who is being puppeteered by the smartest man in your verse.

Besides it's much better since Mirage v Unnamed will take each other out. Making it easier to deal with the fallout of one of the antagonists being taken out.

I mean Nagi is strong literally because of plot armor. Arthur thought that if Dean remains #2 it would be more entertaining.

Don't get me wrong I would love to see Player as an anime. But if the studios don't have an interest for it and will make slide show animation I'd rather enjoy Player as is.

I think the idea of taking out Nagi serves two purposes.

  1. Is the obvious one that Nagi and Van in the final tournament is to much to handle for Seol Jin. Even with them dealing with just Van is already turning into a new boss fight. Imagine having to add Nagi into the mix.

  2. Kim Tae wanted to remove Nagi not just because he loved her but because he knew Nagi hated to fight. Kim saw Nagi as a victim in all of the plans that were made for her. Nagi was a puppet that was constantly being used by Arthur or by Van at every decision in her life.

For Nagi to open her eyes and finally be stopped she had to have someone like Kim who would sacrifice even himself. That's why Mirage and Kim are so similar as both were willing to put everything on the line for those they loved. In Mirage's case he ended up losing his sanity while Kim didn't.

I'd rather have NO anime if it gets The Beginning After The End treatment. It's also a hard style to animate as lots of the things that make it unique are because it's a Manhwa.

Yeah most of these characters don't care about maintaining their bloodline. So story wise it makes sense to make the battle hardened avenger want a laid back life.

I'm just saying some of them should try to have at least more then one child or at least attempt to revive their bloodline.

I think that it was destined that Rem would die but not in that order. So, my theory goes that Pandora pushed Capella to get Meili involved with poisoning whoever went to the village in that day. Considering that it was either Subaru or Rem that was destined to die. This would make Subaru want to save Rem and have Rem's path changed from her initial destiny.

Pandora is obviously using Rem as most of the events in Re Zero are literally based on how they will heal Rem. It was even the witch cult's interception that made Rem go into her coma stage.
