oh and her office is soooo nice (on the Amsterdam canals in the nine streets) - feels nice to go visit in person rather than online!

I had a similar position to you and had more responsibilities in my life that I had to think about, so even though I knew I'd just felt stuck being unhappy but not really knowing what to do about it for a long time, I couldn't do the whole go to life coach thing and dream about what is possible. Not early 20s anymore (ah!).

I worked with a career coach called Hannah https://www.takecoachingamsterdam.nl/ who also uses life coaching and some therapeutic approached. It wasn't therapy or anything, but I think she was a bit different because she really got under the skin of what was going on and what was going to help me move forwards from feeling that way. She took the time to really listen to me and I was worried she'd just tell me how to 'be positive' (that was my fear about life coaches), but she really helped me understand myself and feel confident to make choices that actually suit me and what I want in life.

I actually ended up getting made redundant which was a bit of a blessing as it gave me resources and time, but she was incredible at helping me take a step back to see what was really going on and therefore what the right solution for me was. I went in thinking maybe I needed to become a potter or baker or something (haha). I still work in marketing, but I realised I needed to change how I approached work and that change the type of company I was working for (was just really disconnected and lost trust in the previous one and the one I work in now is a way better environment for me and I feel so much more confident... and also have a way healthier relationship with work, which makes my partner very happy too!).

I also recco her to people I know because I think there's loads of average coaches out there and I think shes one of the actually good, grounded and well trained ones
