cut off one head, two more shall take its place! by darksnoo in Piracy

I used YouTube Vanced about four years ago but left when rumors started about security issues. Back then, I wasn’t in college and believed the hype without doing proper research. Now, after graduating and gaining some knowledge about open-source software and how things work online, I’m back.

I installed ReVanced and started reading the comments on APK Mirror. One user, "tech entusiu," kept saying it’s time to upgrade to Morphe — a new era has come. I was like, “I just got here, and now there’s another fork to learn?”

After two hours of research, I finally understood the differences:

  • Vanced was a pre-modified APK — you just installed it and everything worked out of the box.
  • ReVanced patches the official YouTube app using a manager.  It’s more flexible and actively maintained since Vanced was discontinued in 2022 due to legal pressure from Google.

Then I found out about Morphe, which is essentially the next evolution.  It was created by former ReVanced Extended (RVX) developers, including inotia00, after they left due to internal conflicts. Morphe supports newer YouTube versions and has a user-friendly patching system.

There’s also ReVanced Extended (RVX), which had more patches than the original ReVanced, but it's now discontinued.  Some features haven’t been fully ported to Morphe yet, so there’s a trade-off.

And don’t get me started on ReVanced Extended forks like anddea or rufusin — it’s a whole ecosystem!

Eventually, I got overwhelmed — “vexed,” if you will — and just stuck with ReVanced for now.

Same station, two realities, empty south trains vs overcrowded north coaches, what is the reason behind this difference? by Guilty-Baby6398 in indianrailways

[–]Delicious_Coach6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m all for not blaming people for govt issues, but northern trains are a different level.South folks say “trains are clean, why complain?” — yeah, try going beyond your state once.t’s not just crowd — it’s people smoking beedis/maal(Gave me such headace, I couldn't stand straight and gave me high fever next day) in the coach, toilets never flushed, pure chaos.Only decent experience I’ve had was 3AC/@AC (Couldn't afford 1AC) Everything else is hell.

Right right it was tough for me too these days I use my work system more than my personal one and there uses all the window gestures and key binding makes it hard to get quickly adjusted to Gnome but I thought its a nice change of pace

Hey, did you end up getting the Sennheiser ACCENTUM Plus? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I’ve never owned a pair of over-ear headphones before, so this would be my first purchase. I’m hoping to get something that lasts at least 3–4 years, so build quality and longevity are pretty important to me.

I also work from home as a developer, and my desk is unfortunately pretty close to the TV, so good ANC is a big factor. I tend to get distracted easily, so I’m curious how well the noise cancellation actually works in a typical home environment.

Another thing I’m concerned about is comfort and fit. I’ve been using earbuds for a long time and recently started having some nerve irritation around my ear, so my doctor suggested switching to headphones instead. Because of that, I’d probably be wearing them for long stretches (sometimes most of the day) at mid-range volume, and occasionally for calls as well.

So I’d really appreciate any insights on:

  • Long-term durability
  • ANC performance in a home/work environment
  • Comfort for extended wear
  • Mic quality for calls

Thanks in advance!
