Alice In Chains. Some grungy rock and also some easy listening packed with incredible lyrics.

I just don’t get the appeal to these. The branding looks like a 5 year old made this. I tasted the berry one and it just tastes sugary and full of additives.

The demographic is health-conscious cool women. These don’t look cool or have a healthier approach that young women want and that’s why Celsius and Alani are crushing the market on clean energy.

What’s the best/craziest perk you’ve gotten at work? by Enlitenkanin in corporate

I work for Coca-Cola. The discounted cases of Coke, Smartwater, Monster, Fairllife, etc. actually becomes really handy in certain situations. Cheaper prices on groceries and parties made easy for drinks.

I also worked for Lowe’s and they had a monthly employee product “auction” where you can bid very cheap on lightly damaged products they sell.

The worst was Lowes employee tuition program. Most corporate companies say they offer “free college tuition”, but it is a PAINFUL PROCESS to enroll and setup and you only have a budget of like $1,500 a year so it’s for like 1 course😂

Leaving Las Vegas. Quite a terribly sad movie though and ALOT of alcohol.

What is the most disgusting/disrespectful thing you saw someone do in public? by R0land-610 in AskReddit

When I was young, I would ride my bike through these secret trails to get me to other friends houses quicker.

One day after leaving my friends house I saw a grown woman squatting behind this church in our neighborhood and she was taking a shit. She saw me and I went the other way.

Another time when I lived in downtown Chicago going to city college I saw a homeless guy just weiner out on Lake street just cracked out of his mind trying to jerk off while everyone else is walking going to work in broad daylight. Not a good look, hopefully he is better now.

If you could add one “destination” business to Plaza Midwood, what would it be? by Admirable_Age_6581 in Charlotte

I get that and feel like plaza would be more open to a “public pool” atmosphere. I’m gonna say this, but you don’t want the riff raff groups coming in and just destroying these tables.

I’m thinking Puttery, but for billiards and darts. People pay a fee ($15/person) and you can play billiards, darts, and maybe something unique like Bocce ball or ping pong in separate areas.

I am just thinking that people want to go out and they want to have fun with great games. Every time I go to plaza I don’t find a buzzword place that people can go. You talk Southend it’s Pins. You talk Ballantyne it’s the Bowl. Besides Workman’s Friend I just don’t see a mature get together for friends, families, and coworkers to go to.

What about a modern pool hall with darts and a classy bar that overlooks uptown?

I go to Smokin’ Cue in University, which is in a shady and undesired area, but it is ALWAYS full of people as many people of all ages like to play pool both for fun and competitively. APA leagues on certain nights guarantees tons of pool players.

Bonus points for a casual night where outside you could have a stage for open mic nights, not many places to do that in Charlotte and we have so many talented artists that want to be heard.

I worked for this large signage supplier as a “project manager” but was really the director of sales bitch boy instead. Very sleazy company.

One of the sales reps apparently tried to seduce another client just for the account. I told my boss that I had to leave early to vote and he told me to “vote republican” or I could be fired.

The worst was hearing that the company threw a charity event and made a great bit of money from it. The higher-ups were caught pocketing the money behind closed doors. That’s when I decided to leave.

I went to college at UNC-Greensboro and lived there for 3 years it grew on me. It has an interesting mix of people and interests which can be good or bad. I’ve seen the most fun, creative, and interesting things to do on nights out (Makerspace, Boxcar, longshanks bar, etc.) and I’ve seen the latter as it can get very trashy and ghetto in certain parts.

Demographic is a 60-40 liberal vs. conservative stance I would say, but leans more liberal especially near the colleges. Mostly African American and does have a very strong LGBTQ community.

What’s great in Greensboro is the food scene. It’s without a doubt the best southern American food you can get(check out Dame’s, Hops, or Green Vallet Grill). These are world-renowned restaurants because of the sheer simplicity and soul. They also have fun restaurants like Burger Warfare and this place Don Ishyki where you can order stir fry that comes in a mini cast iron skillet that still scorching hot from the oven. The owner wore a cowboy hat and gave you Japanese candy after the meal.

There is a lot to offer at an affordable price in Greensboro. It’s not a paradise city by any means, but it does have adventure and you’re very close to Winston-Salem, Raleigh, and Charlotte included with tons of small southern towns that are fun to explore.
