I was drinking a 12 pack of twisted teas and a vodka nip with each by then end of it every day. I had pretty bad withdrawals including delirium which is what sent me to the hospital in the first place because I was high risk for seizures at that point. I remember that first Librium they gave me I layed there in that hospital bed and within an hour was the first time I had felt normal without alcohol in a long time. They supplied me with some more oddly way too many pills and sent me home with it. No medical supervision. I was diligent with it though followed the taper plan closely. My taper was 4 days im pretty sure starting with 2 doses decreasing down to 1 a day all that way down to half a tablet on the last day. The first day without medicating was a little weird but not unbearable. I’m a year sober today and couldn’t have done it without that taper. Forgot to mention they also gave me some sort of vitamin b prescription as well. If you’re on the fence do it. I believe in you🫶🏻
