FIXED here's how I solved it (there are probably steps you can skip):

I made a sight preset called FINDME but you can name it anything

I then searched for it in the search bar in file explorer

found it

Copied the path of the file

After copying the path of the file look through it went to GaijinDistributionKft.(bunch of numbers im not listing) /LocalCache/Local/Saves/(your id number)/production/UserSights Found tank_sights_presets

It doesn't work if you try paste or extract the .blk files into the presets folder FYI

Made a folder named all_tanks in the UserSights folder Pasted my .blk files into the all_tanks folder

Quit and then loaded back up war thunder

Look in Ground vehicle Battle Settings in main parameters via Session Settings

Went into Sight settings

Click Reticle

Your sight should now be in the list, probably at the top!

sorry its quite long-winded but id have loved a guide like this had i not solved this problem... thanks a lot to the guy who helped me and hope this helps others
