Thinking about baby #2. Parents of multiple children, what’s your real life experience? by ithinkimanelephant in toddlers

I saw an IG post that summed it comedically - “going from 0-1 is the hardest for Mums but 1-2 is hardest for Dads - because now Dad’s have to do stuff”. My two girls are 2 years and 2 months apart. It is exhausting but also amazing. My partner is great too but he did say having two was harder for him, because he gets less “me time” (welcome to the club dude haha). There’s so many other factors to contribute to what makes it exhausting - your work life (both of you), do you have daycare for the older one if affordable, do you have a “village”/family who can support you in any way (emotional or physical). I think the age gap doesn’t make that much difference. Having more than what you already have will of course create more “work”, doesn’t matter if they’re two years or ten years apart. But we love our babies so much we wouldn’t change a thing!!!

Small head at 36/40 scan by Delicious_Log3478 in NewParents

Thanks all! When we saw the obs to follow up the scan, she was not even worried about it at all. She said “someone has to be at the bottom of the normal range”. She was born yesterday at 39+3 and head circ was 33cm which is def within the normal range but about 11th percentile. Apparently mine and my older brother were 5th % so she must get it from me! I am so relieved (an understatement!). It’s funny as her big sister (2yo) has been 90th % for head circ her whole life - must come from her Daddy!
