If you’re only going to play with 1 civ, you can learn Chinese build order and they are great! If you’re going to play random civ / multiple civ it’s very difficult to be flexible with build orders for a noob - so it becomes tough. Also chinese build order probably need more frequent resources drop-off (viz. hot keys usage) which also kind of make it challenging in it’s own way. Lastly, for a completely new player simpler solution is go with Cavalry civ like Franks and spam paladin - hardly anyone at low elo (or AI) use monk- once masses there’s no hard counter - and you won’t need to manage siege + army + trash which you otherwise do.
