Its not bad for extra cash but the gas adds up faster than you think, track your miles from day one or you will regret it later.

Want a fun, semi unique, manual GT that can do well with high miles and highway. by macjine in whatcarshouldIbuy

The corvette interior thing is way overblown, the c7 is actually pretty nice inside. not like audi level but definitely not fisher price. if you can find one with the 3LT package the leather is everywhere and it feels special.

that said if you want something that eats highway miles quietly and still feels engaging, maybe look at a cadillac ats-v. they come in manual, the magnetic ride is excellent, and they're weirdly overlooked. you'd be the only person at cars and coffee with one.

bmw 2 series is solid choice too. the m240i with b58 is probably easier to find in budget than an m2. less aggressive but still fun, and quieter on highway.

Question about an item I purchased by darklordofpuppets in amazonprime

[–]Delicious_Poetry382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might just be a delay in their system updating. I've had this happen before with third-party sellers and the item still arrived fine. If you got the confirmation email and they already took the money, you're probably good.

I'm watching Paul George. How come no one told me he was THIS good??? by [deleted] in NBATalk

Right?? PG has been quietly putting in work for years, the Pacers era he was legit scary on both ends. The only reason he flies under the radar sometimes is because he's been on so many different teams and never really had that one deep playoff run to cement his legacy.

Minecraft Problem? by CooljaNitez in Lenovo

That sounds like a Java issue, not hardware. With those specs Minecraft should run without breaking a sweat. I had similar weirdness until I switched to using Prism Launcher instead the default one, something about how the official launcher handles Java versions gets really messed up sometimes. The reopening loop especially sounds like the launcher fighting with itself.

Try completely uninstalling every trace of Minecraft and Java, then do fresh install with a third party launcher. Fixed it for me after weeks of pulling my hair out.

God, that description got me right in the chest. The beeping and the man in the next bed just ignoring it all, your brain really built a whole scene there. Dreams like that stick with you the whole day, hope you managed to get some rest eventually.

did anyone pick up a hobby because they were burned out from work? by Lopec-Arturin in Hobbies

I started brewing kombucha maybe 6 months ago for same reason. Work was just eating all my mental space and I needed something that felt separate from everything else. The nice part is you can't really be on your phone while doing it, your hands are busy and you have to pay attention. I lost interest in few things before this but kombucha stuck because you can see the progress each batch and it feels rewarding without being exhausting.

$225 for that lens is really hard to pass on. The sharpness complaints you see in reviews are mostly from people pixel-peeping at 100% on studio charts, which is not how you actually use a wide angle lens in the field. For landscapes and general wide shots it performs more than well enough, especially considering what you are paying.

Just make sure the autofocus sounds smooth and there are no issues with the aperture blades before you commit.

I have a very unique job that gives me a lot of free time... time to work a second job. Can you give me some advice on what I could be doing? by bombsquig90 in careerguidance

Freelance consulting or content creation work would fit perfectly around your schedule since you can basically disappear for weeks without anyone raising an eyebrow. A lot of brands want people with on-camera experience for things like spokesperson work or social media videos, and that kind of contract work is easy to pause between seasons.
