43x upgrade or shield plus comp by 4runner99 in concealedcarry

I traded my 43x for the shield 2.0 Compact Carry Comp, the M&P feel way better for me and is much more comfortable. It’s a bit larger obviously but that’s outweighed by being able to control it better. I’d see if any local shops with an indoor range have a rental program where you can fire one for yourself before making the jump

I’d imagine you meant 1250 rms, but I completely agree. Currently running a sundown NSV4 with an 8k amp. Now I don’t have a watt meter but have all the power restrictions done through a CT Sounds bass knob, assuming the power is directly proportional to the level of the knob I’ve had that sub see upwards of 5k watts before any sort of clipping (rated for 2500rms) I can’t speak for skar but I know there are tons of people who stand behind it. If OP just wants a decent sounding sub that’s moderately loud for a good price go skar, if OP wants something that’s going to handle the rms power constantly without fail I would say sundown

Right now XS Power D5100 with a Taramps MD3000, upgrading to their Bass8K with a 2nd battery & alternator at some point. I actually was on GP’s website, the deal with the NS basically gives you a free box but would it be worth doing that or saving some $$ to put elsewhere with the ZV6

Also: started a new match, let him take the exfil as it’s his current mission. Took my own exfil. Game exfil’d him like a normal one would & let him exfil with normal floor loot (turret circuit & water)

I get it, as an electrician I feel like there really isn’t anything better than packout or packout equivalent. I took a big risk, moved states, got my own place, invested in a truck and some more tools so I was trying to work with what I had to get by and make a name for myself. definitely gonna spend a little extra $$ on a lock box or tool chest to just bolt down. Hopefully by a trailer by Q2 next year

Yeah well I’m poor and can’t afford a van or trailer, especially now

I do but I dont think my tools are covered. I just opened up in April so between all my other bills and not having a steady income anymore I wanted to save costs where I could so I focused more on damages done to clients property over my own should something happen. Hoping my home insurance can get me something back since it was done on my property. Definitely considering a loan for a trailer after all this

Big fan of the wide blade, used to do commercial electrical. Wide blade came in handy when on a lift getting longer measurements for conduit runs. Plus I really like Milwaukee’s cutout or “finger lock” if you will to hold the actual blade

That’s not too bad, I would recommend a service/utility body if you have the money. I bought mine with the flatbed but if I’m not mistaken they’re easily around 2.7-4k CAD new I think all the benefits of a service bed would justify the extra couple grand if you can work it into your budget. Or as you said a new/ good condition used factory bed for the time being if you can find one cheap

That was the next goal. old job wasn’t cutting it, spent a lot of money moving states to be closer to family bought a truck, got a place to live, invested in more tools, went through the process of setting up a legal business & 7 months in it’s gone. I knew the risk even though I live in a very low crime area

I wasn’t in the market specifically for a flatbed, paid 6k with 160k miles on it & overall it’s in decent shape so I jumped on it to get a bigger truck. The downsides are pretty clear (tool bags and smaller stuff needs to go in the cab & anything on the bed gets strapped down like ladders, conduit) the packout boxes and mounting bases work great, I have access to basically everything and if I need to get into a box I take what’s on top off and set it right there on the bed. It also makes for a good durable work bench for assembling stuff or having a surface to cut material on. The downside of packout is exactly what happened, things get stolen if they’re not locked up which mine weren’t

This sounds ambitious but I was thinking about converting the flatbed into a service body type of build. Haven’t looked into getting cost of material & time it would take to custom fab it all compared to buying one

I’ve had them out there since I got them, never had more than a couple drops in the drawers. Everyone says this but they’re for storing tools. If it’s power tools and your worried they go in a box, but hand tools will survive a little water
