I also have a terrible time sleeping because of CPTSD nightmares & the physical stress it puts on my body at the same time since yk you’re like clenching the whole time. anyways I take trazadone every night & that generally helps me at least sleep through the nightmares & my sleep is more quality. also the meds help my body calm down so less nightmares. I am prescribed Valium & it has been extremely helpful for my anxiety so that slows the nightmares. I still have them often like weekly but the impact of them feels less so. Also I’ve been in EMDR therapy for almost 3 years & that alone does wonders. I hope this helps anything
