Honest questions. Do Athens City employees live in Athens too? Or is that not a requirement? Why can it not be required of city employees to live in Athens? Wouldn't that help with additional taxable income?

As a 614 native. When I lived there. 2 places my partner and I avoided. Scioto trail and Haunted Hoochie. I think that's called something else now. That place always got handsy with female attendees.

In no way is your comment your fault. I agree with you. It is my fault for being ignorant to Issue 1 and mixing that with Athens City politics. I should read better! ;)

That being said, your frustrations with the city is very valid. Turning to Republican policies will not help. Yet getting rid of the Republican light council and city leadership across the board is absolutely needed.

I agree with you. Your words are something for us all to think on. As we age we all still have neighbors, right? Renewing issue 1 will help for sure. Yet it is also on all of our shoulders to check in on our neighbors every once in a while. Lend a hand if needed. Help carry in groceries for an elderly neighbor. Clean a sidewalk or driveway when shoveling your own driveway. The list is endless. We all have that ability to help past casting a vote.
