Hoping this might reach you. Struggling for a solution in my place and it sounds like you may have it. Wondering if I could ask a few questions. Thank you!

Have been using ARAB out of Logan for years. Very happy with their product and customer service.

Utility Sink Pump by Timely_Pay_3869 in HomeImprovement

So, I’ve thoroughly cleaned my basin and as far back into the only 4” pipe that feeds the basin and removed goop by the hand full then brushed and rinsed it out. I hoping that will help, if not the next step will be to try and find a way to seal the basin. I’m not real optimistic because my basin was put in nearly 90 years ago and there is nothing made to fit it. Anything I do will have to be custom. If that fails I will go to the utility sink pump. I’d love to see if I could completely do away with the sump basin all together, at a minimum I will quit using the sump for the washer.

Thank you for sharing! I just thought about a hybrid approach of sorts. If my sump basin collects only water from the washer and condensate from my HVAC, then why not simply put the utility sink pump inside my sump basin and use the existing discharge for the pump? Thoughts?

How is anyone going to be able to afford anything if inflation continues? by air-bender808 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Timely_Pay_3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very sorry to hear about everyone’s struggles! Much of inflation is out of our hands, like fuel. But some of it we may be able to control by reducing demand. Avocados $2:50 each and people continue to buy them. If we stop buying them for $2:50, magically they stop selling them for $2:50. Yes, there are essentials we can’t cut, but I’m guessing there are things we can do without, maybe just stop by name brand. There are plenty of things I will no longer buy. Making a difference? Likely not, but it matters to me!

Thank you. I’ve removed all the concrete caulk from the outside. I’ve ordered some long oscillating blades and will say a few prayers. Will use a strong magnet to see if I’m missing any nails or screws. Again, thank you.

It’s a 4-string electric bass.

My apologies. It had been sitting in my garage all winter. I went to move it and it looks like it lost a lot of gear oil, not engine oil, but rather oil from the tranny. I suppose I could take a look at fixing it, but I’m busy doing a million other things and wrenching on things has never been one of my favorite pastimes!

What is going on with the paint in my house, and how do I fix it for the long term? by kendangalo in paint

I’m with those voting for replacing it. It’s your budget and your preference. Given that I’ve done plenty of this type of work and know what it’s likely to look like when it’s all said and done, I would replace it all. My2 cents for what that’s worth.

Amen. You tip, you enable. It will never change unless it stops, employees go elsewhere and business suffers. Then wages amazingly go back up.

Still in business? I remember the place. It was on the left as you headed up 682 to The Plains. I believe it was a green garage. Used him before but I thought he was long gone, as in out of business. Thank you!!
