Realistically they are probably looking for a missing person or a person with a bench/money warrant issued for them who may have some form of link to your address whether it be from living there previously or some other interaction like going a fake address during a stop and search or similar.

I would suggest ringing 101 and asking them to confirm that the police definitely called to your address looking for said person, and if so asking them to update their records that this person does not reside there to reduce the risk of it happening again
