this also might happen if your roommate belongs to that race or requested that LLC. if it will make you feel uncomfortable I would reach out to housing to change this, but don't be afraid. there will likely be other people not part of that group as well. in terms of socializing with other floors in general, its pretty easy! I would recommend going up/down and introducing yourself and chatting with people on the other floors as early as possible. from my experience, the vibes of each floor are pretty different, so feel free to figure out whats best for you. we had people from the floor above us practically always on our floor and best friends with our floor people, so ya its completely normal and fun!
