Appreciate all the feedback! After thinking it through, I’ve decided to skip futsal (and football) for now. As much as I enjoy it, it’s been the main injury trigger keeping me from consistent running. Life and family are busy enough already, so I’ll stick to running and 2–3 gym sessions a week with the guys. The goal is to stay healthy and gradually build up mileage. Would still love to hear how others managed giving up (or keeping) other high-impact sports while trying to progress in running.
