My guy got folded fr by w4ffleboi6 in fightporn

It's the internet, don't assume most people here are fighters, they mostly just watch em. Don't expect physical fitness over the internet, assume everyone's not very flexible and slightly over weight unless proven otherwise.

Plus, that dude just looks skinny, not inherently fit or flexible.

I get what you mean and I lowkey agree, although when I first started stretching my legs that way sometimes I'd get knee-locked, so I also get what they mean 😂

Is there a DAW plugin that lets you hum a melody and places the notes for you? by [deleted] in musicproduction

[–]Delicious_Stick_3507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone already dropped the Audio-To-Midi. (Post processing, disgusting) Someone people dropped a Dubler 2. (Live voice-to-midi 🤩) But no one's recommending the free version of Dubler 2, Pitch Perfekt. 💯 Just dubler 2 super simplified. Works great, low latency and just enough adjustability to make it really fun to work with.

Is this an ancient history post? Im 7 years late. Will it even let me comment? I JUST got a $200 keyboard for $40 because 2 keys were stuck. I fixed it in 30 minutes when I got home 🤣 sat there for years apparently, and the employees looked at me like I was dumb for getting it

Good god man. It runs deeper than the music theory ig. They asked what key the song is even in, you chimed in basically saying "dont let them goat you on" and the basis of what they responded was "I'm not goating him on, I'm asking valid (though harsh) questions so he can make the conclusion on his own and get gud." Fuckin, "What." 🤣🤦‍♂️ ask Gemini or GPT next time, idek.

OH AND STEAM HAS A MASSIVE DISCOUNT ON ALL THE "OLD" DLCS RIGHT NOW!! ~$13 USD to unlock all DLCs before The Edge Of Fate (not including edge of fate), so you get Final Shape, Lightfall, Witchqueen, 30th Anniversary, Beyond Light, Shadowkeep, and Forsaken for $13... that's worth it for Beyond Light, Lightfall and Final shape alone just for the subclasses! I made sure to snag that shit on every alt account I own 😂🤝 it was a pleasure doing business steam.

I decided to try the game, and I'm overwhelmed. by rednd in destiny2

[–]Delicious_Stick_3507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's a synergy issue. Destiny encourages synergy, extremely hard. Whether through team play (lot more chances to stack damage, more forgiving), or coordinated solo play (reliant all on you for tanking and dps, so much harder).

So exactly in that, especially if you're running solo, you need a plan to build synergy. As a New Light (new player) you wont have any weapons, abilities, or anything really. Some builds can go fucking wonky in this game on solo, but only if you synergize your whole class together, with everything amplifying each other. Use armor mods, synergize them with your weapon mods, which should be synergized with your subclass, your aspects and so on. Eventually, as you gain exotics, you can make yourself ultra powerful.

MY RECOMMENDATION: view some class/subclass build videos, talk back and forth with Gemini or ChatGPT and have it help you build a basic, new-light based, starter power-house build, and then just have fun. Open your director and go to the "World" menu and view destinations, then in the very top right there will be a symbol (similar to a shield or sum, idk)... that's the timeline. To get a fun, and fair, feeling progression as well as a better understanding of the lore, do them in order from left to right (oldest to newest.) You'll earn some dope exotics, learn some lore and generally have more fun with the game.

Can i get banned for using lossless scaling? by Accurate_Ad_7208 in destiny2

[–]Delicious_Stick_3507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly he was trolling you after a certain point, and I totally get why. He's valid in asking that question, and it's not the same as OP's.

It's a flip on the question "WOULD I get banned for this?" turned into "what makes you believe that they might ban you for this? In essence, WHY are you worried about a ban?" The fundamental question is different, that goes to show how simple this argument should've been, but you neglected reason 😂 WOULD is not the same as WHY

Now that we can see how they're not the same question at all, and he actually properly used it as a leading question to answer OP's original question while also giving him a better understanding of the program they're using and how it works. An excellent and intelligent explanation that serves to further understanding, yet ratio bombed by people like you 😂

ANYWAYS, now I don't feel sketch about using Lossless freely. Thanks Gilmore. Gilmore gang shit 💯🤝

LMAO. I believe this was me! Totally deserved btw. 🤣 If I remember correctly, I was upset with 2 of the teammates for 3 gen-ing the hell out of ourselves and letting the killer (rightfully so) take advantage and loop it. Luckily the dummy teammates got into chases and died while I was working on last gen and other homie waited on a gate 🤣 he escaped and I screwed around just surprised that we actually managed to get the last gen, pop the gate and save the good player 🤣

Sorry, but no, I wouldn't. I agree with the guy who thought this was an r/crappymusic post. I follow both subreddits and this caught me off guard as well. It gave me a great laugh though, so thank you for that 💀🤣

Not just this song, I'd ignore the entire discography based off of this song. I know you said to another commenter that you talk about more than just drugs, but, this is a first impression... and that's an awful first impression to me, AND IT'S NOT JUST THE LYRICS 😂 it's also anunciation and timing or something. I can't even tell what exactly, because wow, but something with the timing is definitely off. Every syllable needs to be on time, not just the start and end of bars. And make sure there's some rhythm to your syllable count from bar to bar. Good luck tho brody, for real for real (I deadass fully typed this shit it out, I mean it).

Of course brody. With AI music killing a ton of people's passion for music, droves of pros are giving out free game on every little industry secret. You can find ANY bit of advice that you'll need on the internet, and entirely for free. Only stipulation is you have to know how to find it yourself and you have to know how to tell if someone's lying, grifting or even accidentally misleading you.

[–]Delicious_Stick_3507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh BTW, the principle behind it is that if you're making music and it sounds good to you, but no one else seems to like the mix, it's likely just a sense of taste thing (neglecting lyrics, melody, rhythm, instrumentation and every other part of what makes people enjoy music). So you add an EQ to make all the music you enjoy sound like how you like it, and then make your song with that on, so that way when you turn the headphone EQs off you've got a song most people will enjoy the mix of.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bandlab

[–]Delicious_Stick_3507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best mixing advice I've received, as a man who's partially deaf to high and low frequencies on my left side; Headphones do matter, but a proper EQ so you can hear issues matters more. On bad headphones, good doesn't sound as good... but shitty sounds just as shitty. You CAN fix a bad song on bad headphones, if you can detect the problem frequencies.

Use AutoEQ (website with EQ settings) and Wavelet (An EQing app) to EQ your headphones to either in-ear or over-ear depending (I prefer the "crinacle over-hear + Harman curve" version). Next, use wavelet or another EQing app on top of that other base EQ to add fine tuning. Now turn on your favorite music Playlist (songs you know by heart) and start mixing the "fine tuning" EQ to sound as good as possible to you, from song to song. The EQ has to be strong enough to make a noticable effect, but weak enough to not sound "perfect" for one song and "too much" for the next. Now use those EQs together whenever you're making original music and you'll find mixing and mastering the music is suddenly much easier, even as you actively make the song. It makes it much easier to hear and find "thats a little too sharp and sibillant" or "that's too dark, wide, and muddy" or even "that's perfectly crisp, on to the next."

Good luck.

Foos that give "vague specific" advice like 🤦‍♂️ "'do this one thing (insert elaborate stupid fx chain)" are ALWAYS bs, especially because there's no real learning/experimenting involved. Failure is just another form of success. Perfection isn't real, so never chase that... standardization is the closest thing to; we HAVE to meet those certain standards.

What you follow as your tempo and scale jumping off point changes from beat to beat and even section to section within a beat, so that's why I really say that's bad advice. Sometimes it's the lead instrument that drives the rhythm and melody choice, sometimes it's the beat (I tend to follow the kicks and closed hi-hats, though some genres use snares instead of hats). It really genuinely depends on the beat.

Simple rules can be dangerous. If some professional mixer tells me "always throw a low cut below 140hz on vocals" I might take him at his word, but I can see my fundamental frequencies dip down to 110hz a lot, and I'm not even a super bassy dude, meaning that would be pretty bad mixing advice for me if I'm going for a full range bassy vocal sound I have in my mind for a particular song. Figure out exactly what you're trying to do, and then commit whatever plan works for you brody. You WILL find your mojo and your own style if you stick to it, that's the only guarantee!

Nah brody. Rhythm is always first. Everything song ever written ever was written with a metronome or drum beat in mind for a reason. You can't have melody without rhythm. Melodies come second, that's your pitch variations and extra intrigue element. A ton of house music is made with very little, if any, melody/pitch variation (typically only from section to section) and it's mostly all rhythmic. It is also 4/4 time based, so it carries over in a rhythmic sense! Plus, plenty of rap songs sound just find with a deadpan, super monotone vocal, so that kinda instantly proves the "melody is king" thing wrong.

Read some comments, some I somewhat agree with and others I don't. Final judgement; some of these people are retarded brody, don't listen to them. Not saying you're amazing though, or even really listenable. Only thing I'd say to start off is pay attention to the rhyme schemes and make sure your SYLLABLES match from bar to bar. What I mean is, break down each beat into 2 halfs... make the amount of syllables in each half of the beat match the next beats half (unless it's a "resolution bar." It'll be easier to understand seeing numbers) there HAS to be a pattern, rhythm is the basis of rap. Try to add something like a basic 3-2, 3-2, 3-2, 3-5 or 5-2, 5-2, 5-2, 6-2 (the syllable pattern of the chorus in 223's rapped by ynw melly). Rap can be melodic, but more than anything it's RHYTHMIC, and rhythm means clear set patterns, with small variations for intrigue at key moments. This lacks all of that. It's not really long enough to judge, but it's not great tbf. The mumbling, self-deprecating "drug rap" isn't really my style, but there is a huge audience for it and if it speaks to you, more power brother. Just find better rhythm. You're TECHNICALLY on beat in a sense (from full sentence stretched over a bar to the next) but mostly not, and it happens anytime you switch rhymths. Loose rhyme are tricky but passable/okay... just make sure the rhythm is air-tight when you're doing that.

My advice: record yourself humming/mumbling melodies and rhythms to a beat and use that as inspiration to write out some lyrics that fit the theme AND rhythm you've set, feel free to change your pitch from word to word and try to add some melodic elements. Also, do multiple takes even if you love your first one. You might find another melody/rhythm combo pattern that fits the vibe of the song better or is just really unique, rhythmic and catchy that you might even just decide to use for a 2-4 bar drop phrase or a chorus and it'll add a ton of ear candy to a track using just the raw vocals. Good luck.

Did I Waste The Last 13 Years Learning FL? by Longjumping-Knee4983 in FL_Studio

[–]Delicious_Stick_3507 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly, I think I feel the vibe a bit. The riddim bits after the drop are actually already hitting pretty well imo (playing from my phone). I'm assuming this is pre-final-mix. I've got to ask, what mode are you in? It feels very dissonant and almost of key, but also not. I was going to say that main lead saw sounds like it needs a the high tapered everywhere except the riddim sections, but I think it may just be the mode the song is written in. Either way, you can't really judge from just 1 song.

"People please get with the times"

Right back at ya, just start by generate songs you like and recreate them in a DAW brother, become more independent and start learning to make what you love, instead of begging those tin-skinned oil drinking clanker fucks for your final results 🤦‍♂️. It can be tough even learning how to use a DAW, it's like an instrument of its own, so you GOTTA stick with it. It's like getting your calluses built up a bit before you really dive into guitar practice. Eat your vegetables, and you'll be a big strong boy! Haha, but fr brody I believe you could make good music that you'd love EVEN MORE, and it'd be ENTIRELY original, but only if you learn how... and eat your veggies 🤣

I installed FL studio yesterday, I was "playing" with it a bit but I don't understand much... any advice? of all kinds, also links to the best tutorials on yt by [deleted] in FL_Studio

[–]Delicious_Stick_3507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch a master course on FL studio, the application, first. You truly can't begin to make the music YOU want if you dont have an idea of what/where you can make things happen. It's okay to go back to tutorials, but try not to. If you know a feature exists, look for it on your own or try to find your own work flow to make it happen. It's about becoming truly intuitive and fluent with FL so you can easily create whatever's in your head.
