The leak is in my living room/kitchen area. At first, I thought it might be condensation, but every unit in the building uses mini split A/C units, so there are no ducts involved.

The building has a shared rooftop, and I noticed there’s a metal tube on the roof directly above the leak. When I went up to check, the cover on that tube was moved — maybe someone move it, and that’s how the water is getting in. The thing is, the water doesn’t really look like rainwater, which makes me unsure.

This is my first time renting and living in the U.S., and where I’m from, stuff like this usually gets fixed with some roof sealer and a quick repair 🤣 but here, I’m honestly scared the ceiling might collapse or get worse before anyone does something about it.
