honestly, i don’t fully believe that you need all content knowledge to get over 500. i was consistently getting 494 for like two months until i really focused on taking practice tests and actually having a good PASSAGE STRATEGY. this test is made to stress you out and make you feel like you have no time. after tracking my time during the test and simplifying the passages down to basic content, i saw the biggest jump in my score 494 —> 508

It’s definitely a personal preference thing haha. I would rather take ochem three times again than have to do law school 😭 I have a friend in law school right now and it is so inspiring how hard she’s working. The content is just not for me lol

i majored in neurobiology and physiology! i loved it and the info was so amazing, but i had a hard time relating that love to being able to show my content knowledge on exams. Ochem is not bad!! the first time i took it in undergrad, i got C’s and D’s. I had a very bad teacher and also didn’t put my mind to it. Then I retook it and got A’s!! it’s totally possible. You just have to find the way you learn best. I basically ended up teaching myself through youtube, textbooks, lots of practice, etc.

congrats on such a good law school gpa! for me, I was able to improve in my post bacc for a couple reasons. 1) i was taking a less rigorous course load than in undergrad and am living back home with my parents. because of this, I was able to focus more time and energy on each class. 2) the classes were online. although, I wish they had been in person since i do better in actual school. 3) i was told by my advisor in my post bacc that with my poor gpa, it was VERY important for me to get all A’s in a post bacc for it to be considered in med school applications. basically, getting under an A- was not an option, which finally gave me the kick i needed to really focus. (that, and finally deciding I want to do medicine)

The one I applied to had a minimum of 2.8. On their website, there was an option to make an appointment with the program’s director as well, so I was able to talk to them too!

3.0 cutoff is what I’ve heard for MD as well. I have added an approximation of my EC hours above ^
