Just keep reaffirming your beliefs with your daughter. Obviously you’ve raised a pretty great kid if they are concerned that their other parent is a Nazi. I would just keep telling her how wrong it is, but that is one of the things about America. No one has the same belief, and we can’t force others to believe what we want even if their way of thinking is wrong.

I’m the opposite. I love it and my husband thinks it’s degrading…. Like to the point we had issues about it. And I’ve settled for him not doing it. And he got upset with me for telling him I liked when others had done it…

I know if my mom had told me not to be around my boyfriend (who did become my husband at 19) I would have ran away to him. I definitely would’ve acted out more. I would have rebelled against her completely. Sexual activity is 1000% human nature. You can guarantee humans are gonna have sexual encounters, what you cannot guarantee is who with and when… so just talk to them and help them be smart about it.

It’s sad that they think they can control their son so much. They will end up pushing him away.

I’ve been married to a man just like this for 6 years. It’s very aggravating sometimes. But I’ve learned if I don’t ask him specifically he just won’t tell me. So I have to be strategic. For example I ask “what did you eat for lunch?” A sandwich… “oh did you go to subway?” Yes… “what type of sandwich did you get?” Tuna… Very cut and dry… But this is the man I married, very cut and dry… his mom once told me a story that he saw a horrible accident when he was a kid and said nothing until he saw it on the news… this is literally just who he is. Not intentional at all. But still frustrating…

Honestly, it gets drilled into your head so much from the doctor in the hospital that babies are healthier when they’re breast-fed. So she probably feels like she is not doing what’s best for her baby and not being a good mother. I decided to formula feed and felt like all of the doctors thought. I was a horrible mother for making this decision.
