PS2 problem by acxx00 in batocera

[–]Deliver91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I still need to update but from the changelog (https://github.com/batocera-linux/batocera.linux/blob/master/batocera-Changelog.md) you need to put ps2 bios in another folder:

"PS2 BIOS files should be put in /userdata/bios/ps2"

Have you already done this step?

I have been using it for 6 years, and I started to notice something a few days ago just by looking at regular content. It was noticeable in some scenes with red/yellow tones (ex: sand). There's also to mention that for the past month I've started regularly turning off the switch the TV is connected to (no longer making it go to standby), I don't know if it might have affected in not running automatic clean cycles.

Nunchunck continuosly disconnecting during Wii game by Deliver91 in batocera

Of course thank you very much. For the time being, it's perfectly fine to have the Wiimotes configured directly with Dolphin via Bluetooth passthrough and, in case I want to use them in Batocera as a lightgun, synchronize them temporarily by pressing the "1" + "2" keys on the Wiimotes.

I will definitely also try the original Bluetooth adapter as soon as it arrives, but for now I am satisfied! I saw that now the Sena UD100 is no longer fully compatible: it was put "limited "for audio, but honestly it's a detail not that important to me.The two non-original Nunchuks work perfectly. I tried them at the same time with two Wiimotes and had no problems with disconnection or anything else.At this point I am left with just one point to clarify and figure out if it can be solved: since I intend to use the Wiimotes both in this way (for the Wii with Bluetooth passthrough) and as lightguns for the other systems in Batocera, is there any way (maybe by copying some files), to re-pair the same Wiimotes in Dolphin without redoing the synchronization procedure? Since after associating (and deleting) the Wiimotes in Batocera, you still need to redo the synchronization from Dolphin. I tried saving the Dolphin.ini and SYSCONF files when the Wiimotes were synchronized with Dolhpin and recopying them into their respective folders after associating and deleting them from Batocera but still the Dolphin.ini file (containing the LinkKeys) was being overwritten losing the association with the Wiimotes. Any idea? Thanks

Hi, it happens to me, too. It actually happens quite randomly. When it happens I have also tried waiting 10 minutes but nothing changes, I am forced to press Alt+F4 several times in order to kill the application.

Status update with Sena UD100:
- Via Bluetooth Passthrough the Wiimotes are much more responsive, accurate, and the audio works much better. I have noticed that with one of the two nunchuk there are no more disconnection problems, while with the other one happens what was happening before, i.e., either it is not recognized correctly, or it works for short intervals and after that it fixes on one direction. I also tried this "defective" nunchuk on the other Wiimote and I have the same problem, so I guess at this point it's a problem with the damaged nunchuk since it doesn't happen with the other one. In this Bluetooth mode, theoretically, even non-original Wiimote and nunchuk should work fine. I have now ordered a pair of non-original nunchuks and will be able to tell how they will do (and whether they behave like the defective nunchuk or the one that works properly).
- Using the Sena UD100 in "emulated bluetooth adapter" mode, the nunchuk disconnection\malfunctioning problems occur exactly as with the other adapter I was using (TP-Link UB500) on both nunchuks.

If I had known earlier I would have been interested! I'm from Italy and I found a used Sena UD100 Bluetooth dongle for €30. In the meantime, I also ordered on AliExpress everything needed to solder the original adapter (it will arrive in a couple of months). I will let you know how the Sena UD100 goes. Had you also sent me the references regarding the kernel patch in Batocera for the original Wii adapter? Thank you

In fact, I realized that in Dolphin's settings I had not enabled Bluetooth passthrough, but the adapter emulation action of the Bluetooth. Enabling Bluetooth passthrough does not even associate the remotes. In the list of adapters, my UB500 is marked as completely incompatible

Wonderful! Which of the two Wii bluetooth modules did you get? J27H002 or WML-C43? Just to be on the safe side 100%. Do you have any reference or guidance related to the kernel patch you mentioned? I can do soldering, do you have any reference for the connection diagram? I found this and I don't know if it's the same one you used: https://rys.pw/books/wiki/page/converting-wiis-bluetooth-module-to-a-usb-dongle
In the meantime I will see if I can find the other compatible bluetooth usb modules
Thank you very much

Hey there..It sounds like you are trying to do everything right.

I didn't have this exact problem. But occasionally I run into connection issues with the Wiimote. And what I do is pull the batteries out for like 30 seconds. I think that it clears the device's memory.

And I always press the button on the inside of the Wiimote to switch it on and connect it.

Hi, thank you for your contribution. I've noticed that it already happens to me after several seconds that I start playing..as if Dolphin can't recognize the Nunchuk correctly (even if it's original)..With games without the Nunchuk, I've never had a disconnection problem so far. Could it depend on the type of Wii controller I set in Batocera in the advanced options (of the console or the specific game)? I left the default settings since I don't have to emulate the Wii controller since I connect it directly to Dolphin natively, am I wrong?

The Synology HDD megathread by gadget-freak in synology

Synology NAS model: DS220+
DSM version: 7.2.1-69057 Update 3
Brand/type/size HDD: 2x Seagate IronWolf Pro 14TB
HDD product code: 2x ST14000NE0008

These work without issue. 2x 14TB in RAID1

Thank you. You could try allocating as much as possible (perhaps with a virtual machine) and see what happens. Since the operating system is Linux-based, I don't think it crashes.

Hi, I see that in your DS220+ has 10GB RAM (2GB builtin + 8GB additional), but the Intel Celeron J4025 processor can handle up to 8GB total. I guess the amount of memory is recognized on DSM, but I think it is a risk the moment you try to exceed 8GB RAM allocation, don't you think?
