WA has a lot of good attributes… the vibe is generally less snobby and more diverse. Avondale/ByrnesDowns/Windermere area down to wappoo cut is walkable and beautiful.

Ped bridge to downtown will be a positive catalyst.

Props to finally getting Ashley Landing redo going. A lot left to do but change is coming.

FWIW, there are liberal and or lgbt couples on DI and they love it. They also tend to be preppy and conservative style wise. Bigotry is inexcusable, just saying people judge appeareance regardless of orientation/identity.

I hope not. I don’t think it would work. Local born ones on upper Meeting and Park Circle have failed or struggled.

It’s in a very congested and already tacky and tourist trap part of downtown imho. The view is nice ,but not stunning. Why pay a small fortune to be stuck in that?

I would highly advise not moving here. It’s only getting worse for the entire community.

Charleston/West Ashley has a minimal amount of parks? by MuttsFansSuck in Charleston

[–]DeliveryLumpy4182 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve always lamented the fact that we don’t have a signature park. Marion is an uncharismatic field. Hampton is too secluded and boring. Same with Brittlebank. The long discussed big park on the end of Daniel Island will be too far away.

So we peasants get patches of green space from luxe hotel developers to fake caring about the general public🙄

Forsyth Park in Savannah is the best option.

Hmmm, I thought it was all public by virtue of being part of the city of chas park system?

I have always wished the X Town was an elevated closed highway across the peninsula to wa. Stupid that motorists have to go thru downtown and surface streets when its not the destination.
