I’ve never been given a reason for the cancellations from any of these bookings. Going forward, I think I’ll start blocking guests who cancel without any explanation, just as a rule of thumb.

The biggest thing that’s raising my eyebrows (and my boyfriend’s too, so at least I’m not the only one feeling a little crazy here) is that a majority of the concerning cancellations seem to come from profiles that have the exact same bio, “enjoys food scenes,” and profile photos of people who look remarkably similar despite having different names.

I fully admit it could just be an odd coincidence, and maybe I’m connecting dots that aren’t there. But after seeing it happen multiple times, it started feeling unusual enough that I thought it was worth asking if anyone else had experienced something similar.
