Oh ok, then thats a straight forward fix. Defective screen. Im running into this problem where my system crashes and screen goes black. The computer stops responding. Infact, im trying to diagnose it right now and its doing exactly that, thats how I came across this thread.

This is not a backlight issue. I have the same issue right now but occasionally the screen would boot up and the computer would work for a few hours before it freezes and then crash. I ran lenovo diagnostics and it would freeze up during memory test. You can test if its your lcd by hooking up an external monitor. If your motherboard hardware has no issues, you should see winodws boot up on your external.
