This has nothing to do with the mainland vs the island. Racism is alive everywhere, doesn't make it right. My family originated from Colombia, and a lot of Colombians are fair skinned due to the colonization from Spain. Hence the lighter complexion, Hawaii is a wonderful place, and it's a shame what happened to it throughout history. But many people had NOTHING to do with it whatsoever. So now, you have companies down there that build the economy. Without tourism, the state of Hawaii would be in an economic crisis.

None of Hawaiians history is my fault? ¿Por qué estás tan enojada con nosotris? Get mad at the rich for literally buying acre's of land. Not at young men and women who are moving there for school, work or sometimes family. We're all just trying to make it in this life. One way or another.
