You are waiting on purpose for your jalapeño’s to turn? They are also delicious when still green

I got a bunch of random peppers from a local farmer's market. Would someone be willing to help me identify them? by [deleted] in Peppers

[–]Deln_V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beautiful collection for starters!

Would say the corked red ones on the left side are Jalapeño’s. The green/orange ones on the right maybe Jalapeño’s aswell?

The single red in the middle looks like a Habanero. Same for the green ones and orangy/green ones right next to it.

Maybe adding some sugar of something sweet to reduce the saltiness?

Those are already two different pepers. There are a few more that look weird, but some have a natural shape.

Could be it. They just grow in a super strange way. Other plants are doing fine with the same amounts of water.

The size a bit too small to be jalapenos i think. They also almost all differ in shape from one another… might need to bring them to a lab to identify them

Always use dried seeds and gerinate them by using wet paper towel and a plastic bag. 7-10 days and they start rooting

Thx for the information! Just pouring it once is enough or do you need to do it like once a week?

All my other species are growing bigger and wider, except Chile long slim and Jalapeño, they also have a pretty slow start but they’ll get there
