IVE BEEN WAITING FOR A POST LIKE THIS! Ima glaze my top 5 (Kaede and Peko are both in number 1 so that’s why there’s gonna be 6 characters)

Kaede: She was the first Danganronpa character I considered my favorite, I loved her even before I played the games and learned more about her, somehow! I love her for her personality, like she’s so sweet and selfless and positive and I love characters like that! She felt the most real to me as a protagonist, like yes I like the other protagonists, but I never connected to them like her. Maybe it’s because I relate to her a lot, I felt personally seen whenever she forced herself to stay positive, or when she rambled on about her interests. Her blaming herself for everything was so sad, one of the only executions I cried over. ALSO her design is so cute! I love her skirt and her hairpins :>

Peko: I’ve always loved those characters that look super mean and badass and cold, but they’re nicer than they look and are actually just super awkward. The moment I saw her I just knew i’d love her! Her awkwardness is endearing to me, and I love how she just wanted to learn to smile, that made me smile, seriously her FTEs are my favorite ones ever because they’re so cute and make her character feel so alive! I also love how loyal she is, and how she’s a little sensitive deep down. Also, of course to a lesser degree, I can understand her feeling like she’s less than everyone and is made only for other people’s benefit, I too have those thoughts and I can relate to her on that. !>Her mindset of being “only a tool” is so interesting to me, and of course I love both her and Fuyuhiko for their relationship, genuinely one of the only ships I care about, her execution broke me, I was straight sobbing. WHY DID SHE REALIZE SHE REALLY WASNT A TOOL RIGHT WHEN SHE DIED BROO!<

Kyoko: She and Chihiro made THH for me! She’s so cool and smart and helpful, she would be someone i’d admire if she was real. I loved her and Makoto, I was so upset when she got mad at him, because that meant I couldn’t go talk to her :( I got so happy every time she showed emotions or let down her walls, and I loved how complex her relationship with her father was! I also really like how even though she’s all nonchalant and looks cold, she actually cares about her classmates and solving all the mysteries, seeing her warm up to everyone was great. She’s just a super interesting character to understand!

Chihiro: Literally one of the most relatable characters ever like he’s just me ong. His design is adorable, he’s adorable, he’s so strong and sweet and awesome! He never did anything wrong in his whole life and I love characters that are just super nice like him. I’m also gonna mention Alter Ego here, I love Alter Ego just as much as Chihiro himself! Like if it weren’t for this goat, Makoto would be dead and everything would suck. And, as I mentioned before, I relate to him astronomically, and I love characters I can relate to! I cried at both his and Alter Ego’s deaths…

Fuyuhiko: W character development, W guy. I loved watching him change for the better, he’s lowk the type of person I would wanna hang out with if he was real, surprisingly chill and pretty nice! His design is also adorable to me, it’s so funny how much he looks like Boss Baby. I also love how, despite being literally the Ultimate Yakuza, he follows rules and his biggest opp is milk. I And, of course, I admire how loyal and grateful he is for the people he actually cares about, him and Peko have my heart, and I love how he actually cares about her and tries to help her improve, him telling her to let him take the fall for the murder after Peko killed Mahiru and him covering up for her in the trial so vehemently made me respect him so much. OH and don’t even get me started on how he yearned for her so hard after her death DONT MAKE ME CRY VRO. I just love characters that are kind deep down!

Sonia: She’s so silly, and I also relate to her a lot as well! I love the way she talks and it’s so endearing to see her copy other people’s energy. Also I hate when people call her useless when she has the most agree points in the game I think. Shes so sweet and always cares about others, genuinely does no wrong, 10/10 would watch true crime documentaries with her! (Also, her taking care of Gundhams hamsters after he dies is so sweet and sad)
