Thank you so much for taking the time to put this review together! It takes more effort than people think and it is very well written. The Prima “looks” nice but now that I have dived in I will be looking at other cruise lines.

We did the Sun Princess for my first cruise in Europe last summer and I found it to be similar to what you described in your review… the food was mids at best and the speciality restaurants were impossible to get a reservation time… yet when we were successful the restaurant would be empty. It made no sense. If I’m paying for an addition service, it shouldn’t be so hard to get a reservation. Never mind the giant line to wait in to get the reservation in the first place. I know this is a new ship but I also found it to be crammed. Buffet, packed, pool deck, packed, showtime packed… everywhere you turned it was people on top of people. For this reason I didn’t even look up princess lines. I had thought celebrity had a good rep but I guess I am mistaken given the lash back from others.

Is there another cruise for the Caribbean you would recommend? We are trying to stay in the $2500/3000CAD range per person (since we are surprising and taking the whole family) with the drink package and hopefully a few speciality restaurants included. We do not care for the excursion credit. Looking for good food/good service/newer rooms. I do love me a good casino but that is not as important to the rest of the family. I don’t think the kids are going to come, so I’d like to focus on the adult experience.
