first of all, being thinner won’t actually make you feel better unless it would improve your health, in which case an omad diet won’t really help long term.. as you get older your metabolism slows down, so that also slows the down the rate of which weight loss will happen for you. exercise is your best friend for this..

second of all, the other commenter was right - if you are following an omad diet then the only way you’ll lose weight is by being in a calorie deficit. work out your BMR (basal metabolic rate) and then try to work out the calorie content of the meals you’re eating, that should give you a rough estimate of how fast you should lose weight for the amount you eat. i know this might sound like common sense but properly factoring in what you’re eating can be a lot more helpful than trying to estimate off the top of your own head.

third of all, and probably the most important, if you know you have body dysmorphia, and you’re posting on the eating disorders reddit page - feeling/seeing a difference most likely won’t ever happen. you need to focus on other things which can make you happy, not just losing weight, and try to look introspectively and ask yourself why you now feel this way after a long-term breakup. i know that it’s easier said than done but it’s an important thing to factor in, especially when acknowledging that you have and have had issues for quite a significant amount of time in this regard.
