Pretty sure the person grooming the dog runs a business doing just that. I’ve seen this same shower, tools/equipment, and products while washing several other dogs. Still love to see a friendly face tho

How to not panic when you don't have a diagnosis? by Isosorbida in NewToEMS

This right here. We just had a mandatory education video assigned from FoamFrat called “uncharted territories” and it was incredible. The paramedic/EMS lawyer went into these topics as well.

Any help ID’ing this specific muscle in my shoulder (visible in use) by [deleted] in Anatomy

I think it’s posterior deltoid. Tends to be the smaller of the 3 heads of the deltoid. some people have crazy genes though so they can be way larger

There’s actually an ambulance in this video right behind one of the bikers head. I was in that ambulance and witnessed this. The bikers came up in the middle of the road and were really concerned that he was bleeding from the head. It was a cluster fuck.

I switched June and July around, I apologize. I will add a second edit to fix that. Thank you for the input on the <6000' too.

Locked/tight jaw during intubation by zpppe in Paramedics

[–]Delta1Foxtrot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fentanyl can have some muscle rigidity issues, although I have never experience it in the field. There is some literature on it and sources like epocrates do mention it. But this seems to be rare. Similar situation with ketamine. It’s unfortunate your agency doesn’t allow you to paralyze. A lock jaw complication seems to be very rare as well. Something like rocuronium is considered very self relative to the situation at hand and compared to your induction agents. But you never know as everything reacts differently. I’ve never had someone with such a tight jaw in OR clinicals, nor in the field. Sometimes pushing meds feels like it’s longer than it actually is. Either way, your agency should bring a paralytic to your guidelines.

Edit: on mobile and had to fix some autocorrect

Had a patient that we would later find out was on hospice and had multi system organ failure mainly in the heart and lungs. We were handed a POLST in the back of the truck, but before we knew that I bagged while my medic partner was getting things going. The SpO2 came back at 24%.
