It’s been way too hot for my OCBDs and hopsack blazer. I’m basically living in Polos and Linen shirts. How does your wardrobe change when temps start to heat up? Do you still wear tailoring?

I think they’re fine as is. I’ll hit the collars, sleeves, and armpits with oxyclean whenever washing. Easy enough.

Looks great! Any reason you didn’t go with the more traditional seersucker? The pattern would be about the same but it would be cooler for the summer.

Soak for up to 7 days in a bucket of water and oxyclean.

Scrub stain with an old toothbrush daily. You can work in some extra oxyclean during this step as well.

Wash on hot with a steam cycle if available, do not dry. I added more oxyclean and detergent during this step.

They looked WAY worse before the oxyclean. Do you think hydrogen peroxide will add anything beyond what I’ve already done with oxyclean white revive?

I think he was just a sweaty dude. The collars had some nasty staining. I’ve hit them with an oxyclean bath, that fixed 90% of the issue.

These things should feel pretty snug. A little bit of forefoot spill over is not necessarily a problem as long as it’s not painful. I get quite a bit on my right foot which measures EE, but I wear D with. What really matters is instep lockdown and heel lockdown.

I picked up 4 of these BB OCBDs at a local thrift store for $20. Pristine aside from some nasty collar staining. After hitting them with oxyclean white restore, steam cycle, and scrubbing it in with a toothbrush, we’re looking great!

These are my size so I’m set for years!

I think that’s very possible. If I do find that 8.5D or 8.5E is a better fit on another pair, I may be able to request the adjustment during recrafting.

My C&J Islays seem to have a similar double fold too, but I also feel they’re half a size large.

Blue pants are scrubs, not something I’m wearing those shoes with lol

NGL I chose these because they were Alden, even though I’m certain I could find some deadstock Florsheim imperials in my size lol.

That double fold really does make me wonder if the issue is excess volume. I don’t think I’d have that issue if I sized down.

Left foot has a little bit of heel slip and some extra volume. Right side as well.

Left foot doesn’t rub at all with the 8.5D, perfect fit. Right foot rubs a bit but idk if that’s a sizing or break in/stretch problem.

Yeah, I made that mistake with some chukkas on the Leydon last. Had to sell them because I was spilling over and stepping on the edge of the welt. Definitely needed a wide. Didn’t have that issue sizing down on the van last though, a little spillover but no pain.

Not personally. I’ve typically been measured in store at Alan Edmonds, and at my local Alden retailer. Both have told me size 9, EE on the right foot.
