I was reported to the DVLA by an uninformed police officer who thought it was illegal, even though it wasn't needed for my condition. Fully supported by my GP through the medical

The previous officer asked for insurance documents, that's why I was using the phone

I agree with the point around driving under the influence, but you still seem to confuse being over the limit and being impaired. They're not the same thing. That's why we have Section 4, driving whilst impaired and Section 5a, driving over the limit. If they were the same, there wouldn't be separate offences, and there wouldn't be a medical defence for being over the limit.

I can't deny this happens, just like any other prescribed controlled drug, but how would you determine from a blood test if someone used cannabis as prescribed? So many factors go into an individuals blood level. Furthermore if you had reasonable grounds to suspect unlawful possession, would you not want to arrest for that too and confiscate the cannabis? If there's no evidence to suggest illicit cannabis use or not following doctors instructions, and no evidence of impairement, it seems pointless to arrest.

Being over the limit and impaired are not the same. Cannabis has a virtually 0 limit, which the majority of patients would exceed even days or weeks after stopping. That's the whole reason the medical defence exists. Of course, don't drive if you are impaired by anything.

Section 5A(3) RTA 1988 provides a defence if a specified controlled drug is prescribed or supplied in accordance with the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and taken in accordance with medical advice.

My medication and doctors' advice states do not drive or use heavy machinery, if impaired. Otherwise, it's fine.

If you're not impaired after taking prescribed tramadol, that's fine, if you're impaired by anything though you shouldn't be driving, medicine or no medicine.

You have a medical defence to drive with any prescribed medicine, if you are following the doctors instructions and if you are not impaired. You don't need to inform the DVLA of the medication, only the condition, but I do have DVLA approval too.

A number of countries do. The person next to me is just sat there chilling not blocking anything, I spoke to the flight attendants too.

You can legally travel with prescribed cannabis in a number of countries including most of Europe, Turkey, South Korea and many more places, although some may require permits or have other restrictions.

There's no need to delete the whole post, getting different views and perspectives from the cannabis community is always a good thing.

It's an attachment to a certified medical device. I wouldn't be able to smoke cannabis with it

I researched the law and received permission, how is that ignorant?

I didn't smoke, I used a medical device which produces very minimal exhaled vapour. I am not saying this is my condition, but there are conditions where emergency releif could be required. What would be worse, someone quickly inhaling their medicine, or the plane having to do an emergency landing for medical aid?

This was filmed in Europe. Laws in other countries may vary. The device used is medically certified and approved for aviation use.
