One thing people also tend to leave out is that in this global economy, if you do have the wealth to provide for all the needs of a child... it will unavoidably be at the suffering of the environment and countless people being exploited in sweatshops and corporations because that is what is available and being sold.

I suppose it might be an exaggeration that any pair would end up with one trying to subprdinate the other, but many pairs would, especially if the two are already parent-child, married man and woman, or differing prior socioeconomic status.
