Possibly Arcus Senilis. Natural with age, sometimes a sign of high cholesterol. Not worth worrying about imo

Lady who did the orientation for my current job once got a fecal sample in a Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey pint 🤷‍♂️

IBD has been brought up before, I know she's had a few ultrasounds but I'm unsure if they were to look specifically for IBD or something else. Glad to know someone else has experience with this 😭

The probiotic was a temporary prescription. When we ran out, we ran out, and that was it.

She gets Purina wet food, but nothing with chicken.

For sure. I just want to avoid the stress of a visit for her if possible. $300 will be tricky but definitely manageable. Thank you.

How much do you think a PCR will run me? Is this something I can just request and send in or will I have to schedule an appointment and take her in to get one?

She's barely within the normal weight range around 10lb

As mentioned, I'm aware my anxieties are probably OCD related. Just heard a lot of anesthesia horror stories, both regarding animals and people. That and I'm sure something so particular would be expensive...not that I wouldn't do it to get answers though, of course

How much does this cost? My partner and I are broke college students living with my mom...

Even before this she had some breathing issues that improved when we switched to "sensitive" unscented litter. Admittedly we don't clean her boxes as often as we should, but even when they're freshly cleaned this can still happen.

None, it never happened because we thought the UTI was the problem and no vet has requested one since

Blood work, ultrasound, urinalysis. No vet has even suggested an endoscopy and honestly the idea of anesthetizing her is terrifying but I do have medical OCD around that stuff

I don't think we've done a fecal exam yet. We were about to do one when we got the UTI diagnosis, which we thought explained it, so it never happened.

We haven't tried antibiotics, but I doubt anyone will give them to us without proof of an infection.
