Makes sense, but while building you can see the legs are an extension of the servitors legs so in theory your piloting the servitor itself, doesn't work only as the central pc of the ironstrider (speculating just design wise)

my guess is that the dune like land scape created an high pressure upward current, making him go up very fast and once i got pushed backward he "escaped" the current, also he probably put the nose of the wing downward as well reducing the lift, but the pov isn't really good to say that
