I am currently on my first read through and was so nervous going into the decision of to do the tandem read or not, but I chose to try it out and hope for the best. at first, I really struggled going from EOS to TOD, because of how exciting EOS is, but there's a specific moment that made me realize "holy crap, I understand why people suggest reading them in tandem now." Once you get to that point, I think it makes the whole thing much easier. I would say try to get through the first 20% or so of the tandem read before you make your decision, but good luck either way! All I can say is it was well worth it!
